THE 2 HOUR MORNING PHONE CHALLENGE
Let’s break those phone handcuffs!
Did you know that what you do in your first 2 hours of the day can shape how the rest of the day goes and how you feel?
When you wake up and immediately check your phone, you’re being bombarded with new messages, emails, to-dos, and other stimuli that often creates a feeling of stress and anxiety.
A study from showed that 80% of smarthphone users check their mobile devices within 15 minutes of waking up each morning…
Moreover, a study at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden measured the effects of mobile phone usage on people and showed that high smartphone use was directly correlated to increased reports of depression in both men and women…
So, if you want to avoid starting your day feeling rushed, stressed, and anxious, stop checking your smartphone right after waking up. Instead, aim to start in a way so that your mind can relax.
My lovely friend and mentor Stuart Bishop shared an interesting article about our phone addiction and started this 2hr morning phone challenge which I find so inspiring.
I’ve been reducing my screen time for the past couple of weeks already and I’ll definitely give it a try and will start this start tomorrow morning.
Who’s in? Who is doing this already? What are your experience with this?
Let me know below if you are willing to give it a try.
